There are several places at which it is possible to explore the extraordinary underwater-world. While during the sailing-passages, there is a big chance to spot dolphins and even whales. Also excursions to discover the rich culture and history of the isles are offered.

Tenerife

With El Teide (3718 meters) it has the highest mountain of Spain. As such, it has from its rocky coastline, through laurel cloud- and Canary pine forests, up to the crater of El Teide, an always changing and gorgeous nature. Through their volcanic origin and evolution, there are over 200 plant- species unique to these isles. This owns them the nickname of the Galapagos of Europe.

La Gomera

As there’s no international airport in La Gomera, mass-tourism hasn’t yet found its way here. Already in 1986 La Gomera’s Garajonay National Park was recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is much liked by day-tourists that take the ferry from Tenerife for hiking. Christopher Columbus stayed on this isle a couple of times before setting out to the west and discovering America.

El Hierro

If you like a longer sailing passage, you can discover the even quieter isle of El Hierro. This is the furthest western and smallest populated isle of the archipelago. From its spectacular coast with dazzling rock-walls to its authentic villages, it offers the few visitors a lot as well. Until 1884 this island was the O-meridian, until it moved to Greenwich.

La Palma

La Isla Bonita or the pretty island is the steepest island in the World, rising to over 2400 metres in the space of just 10 kilometres. The island is the greenest of the Canaries thanks to the mar de nubs (sea of clouds) passing on the prevailing trade winds. La Palma was the first Starlight reserve and because of the little light pollution still one of the best places to enjoy the night sky.

Alfados

Our 45 feet long 1998 Dufour Classic is called Alfados. Her high build-quality makes her still very competitive to all the newer boats. With 3 double guest-cabins, 2 heads and a separate skippers-cabin there is plenty of privacy on board. There is plenty of space in the main living room to have breakfast or enjoy a nice evening. All cabins have USB-exits and in port there is on board WiFi available.
